Security Deposit and charges
$300
To be returned within a week of your last night's stay. Please report any damage upon checking in that pre-existed. There is a high likelihood that we will be on the hill at some point during your stay and if this is the case, we would like to take a look.

Cleaning fee. Amount taken from security deposit should the suite not be left as it is found.

Excessive noise charge. Between 11 pm and 7 am is quiet time in the village. Please do your part in keeping the quietest section of the village the quietest.

Recycling and returnables left behind. Please pack all returnables home with you as there is nowhere on the hill to return them. In the upper parking lot, there is a bin to return
- paper, cardboard;
- cleaned hard plastics (remove all lids); and
- flattened tins.
Glass anything is not accepted.
You will need to bring your recycling there yourself. Please ensure that it is packaged in clear bags. Anything kept in a non-clear bag will be put in the garbage. IDEALLY.... pack in and pack out everything except garbage. Avoid the COSTCO trips on the way up and just bring up what you need for your stay.

Smoking and vaping charge. Sleeping Bear Chalet is a NON-SMOKING, NON-VAPING property. Any smells of this nature will be charged this fee.
Guests may be billed retroactively if the charges exceed the deposit.
PETS
Currently, we are allowing pets on an individual basis-- please connect with us should you need to bring your pet. Should your dog be given permission to stay, it is critical that your furry family member not be a barker when left alone. Should they bark continually while your group is away, a noise charge will be deducted from your security deposit and you will not be permitted to bring them up in the future. A pet deposit of $150 will be required. The village is a LEASH-ON space except for one space that is marked as OFF-LEASH.
Deposits and Refunds
Upon booking, 25% of the total cost is due immediately.
60 days before the booking, the remaining portion is due and becomes non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to one of the listed acceptable reasons (next section). If payment is not made in full by this time, the deposit is forfeited and the booking will be put back into the availability calendar.
Full refund criteria
- Mount Washington full shut down due to no snow. No Alpine; No Nordic.
- A known case of COVID-19 has been traced to the property and guests do not feel comfortable staying. Know that we will do a full COVID cleaning should this happen..
- If the Provincial Health Officer restrictions prevent guests from traveling. At this time, we are only taking reservations from households who live on Vancouver Island.

Winter bookings are here!
At the present time, we are only taking winter reservations through the Google Form on our website. AirBnb booking options will not come available until early December.
